TGL Discharge System

TGL Discharge White offers the white under base Discharge System for reactive dyes. Discharge White has a PC White pigment pre-mixed into the discharge ink. As the ink discharges the garment it also dyes the garment white leaving a Enviroline Colors or plastisol over prints. TGL Discharge needs to be activated by Discharge Activator which is a powder that is mixed into the discharge ink 7 – 10%. You should only activate as much discharge as you will need to print at a given time as it does have a life span of about 6 to 8 hours once mixed.

IMPORTANT: You must have Discharge Activator in order to use the TGL Discharge System.

This Discharge White has PC Pigment pre-mixed into it and thus should not be used as a dye discharge. Discharge White should be strictly used as an underbase or direct discharge print. Use standard TGL Discharge and PC Inks for dye discharge. TGL Discharge ink can be used with most 100% Cotton Fabrics (does not work on poly or poly blend fabrics). It is always desirable to test as results may even vary from batch to batch on the same type of fabrics. TGL Discharge System is a clear discharge base that can also be printed with or without pigments, print without pigment for a discharge underbase or simple discharge screen, can also mix with pigments to print discharge colors. This will remove the color dye from the fabric and leaves behind only the color of ink. This produces a soft, bright image on dark fabrics that is easy to print, one can barely feel the ink on the fabric. TGL Discharge System is free from formaldehyde. It passes through all other hazardous content tests.

Process Instruction

Fabric Types Cotton or viscose fabrics dyed with dischargeable dyestuff
Mesh Polyester-Monofilament all number that use for water based printing
Stencil Water resistant emulsion
Cure Temperature 170 -180° C for 3 minutes

Curing of the prints

In heating chambers: on 170 – 180 Deg C, 3 minutes, medium drying Is not recommended during printing. Working below this temperatures cuases insufficient discharge on ground and binding of pigment on Garment will not be enough. There will be problem on washing/rubbing fastness. If you can not form curing conditions, you can add TGL FX CL With suitable rate and improve fastness results.
